There is a lot to be said about youth in the world that lack spiritual and moral guidance. Nowhere is this more evident than in the experiences of young people in the United States. Today, the world of American youth is inundated with gun violence, rampant drug use, school crimes, new conformities to immortality and the acceptance of sin and crime as the norm. It is all a reflection of a society without social and moral values. America was built on the colonization of its native inhabitants, racial oppression, slavery, and the idealization of a capitalistic system of profits and greed. Many of its youth reflect this pathological distortion of reality that lacks all morality, spirituality, and a fear of authority nor of God.
The Future Looks Grim for Youth in America

Let’s begin with the case of Kyle Rittenhouse who killed two people and injured a third one in Kenosha, Wisconsin, U.S.A. He was 17 years old when he traveled 20 miles armed with a rifle as a self-appointed vigilante. Kenosha had been the center of anti-racial protests following the unjust police shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, left paralyzed from the waist down from the incident. Kyle heard that the protests were getting out of control, and he appointed himself as a police defender and a self-declared vigilante. Kyle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon and not of legal age to be armed.
He borrowed the rifle from a friend which he was not old enough to possess. Yet with that gun he killed two men, injured a third and got off without any punishment. After his acquittal in court, he was heralded as a hero to white nationalists and supporters of racial oppression. The men he killed were not black, but they were protesting racial injustice and police crimes committed against black Americans. Kyle Rittenhouse is now the poster boy for the far right in the U.S.
The week of his acquittal Trump invited Kyle to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. “He should never have been put through that,” Trump said, referring to Rittenhouse’s trial. “That was prosecutorial misconduct.”
Kyle was one of many armed vigilantes in Kenosha, Wisconsin that day. The vigilantes were there in opposition to the racial justice protesters and those advocating for justice to Black Americans. So clearly, this was a racially motivated incident. Those in favor of racial justice against those opposed to racial justice. His acquittal of all criminal charges speaks to the racially unjust judicial system that upholds inequality and white supremacy.
Had Kyle been a Black man in America in the exact circumstances, the outcome would have been very different. A Black man in the U.S. would have been killed on the spot and/or faced life imprisonment or the death penalty for killing two fellow Americans peacefully protesting on the streets of Kenosha. In the United States, police violence is a primary cause of death among young males. Approximately one out of every 1,000 black men will be slain by police during their lifetime. For men and women of all racial and ethnic groupings, the risk of being killed by police peaks between the ages of 20 and 35. Police killings of black women and men, as well as American Indian and Alaska Native women and men, are much higher than white women and men. Latino guys are also more likely than white men to be slain by police.
Emboldened by the case of Rittenhouse and the ease of acquiring weapons in the U.S. another teenager, Ethan Crumbley, 15-years-old, took a semi-automatic handgun his father had purchased for him to school and shot four fellow students dead, six other students and one teacher wounded. Ethan had posted comments and pictures of the gun pretending it was his on Instagram days before the shooting. He had also gotten in trouble with the school a day before the shootings as teachers discover his troubling pictures and claims that he was hearing voices in his head to kill others. He was actually pleading for help, but his cries were left unanswered.
She and Ethan’s father knew their son had taken the gun to school but did not report it to the school administration. They had been warned of Ethan’s troubling behavior the day of the shooting at a meeting with school authorities. School officials urged the parents to seek medical help for him after seeing his troubling drawings and thoughts written on paper. He had drawn pictures of a gun and these words, “The thoughts won’t stop. Help me.” Ethan also drew a picture of a bullet and a person shot. His written words, “my life is useless” and “the world is dead.”
Yet his parents ignored all the troubling signs that their son may commit a violent crime with the gun they knew was in his possession. They did not warn anyone. Instead, they allowed him to commit the crime and kill fellow students, injuring many others. Instead, his mother, Jennifer Crumbley, texted him a very concerning message about the incident with her son that day, writing: "lol I'm not mad at you. You have to learn not to get caught." They refused to take him home and later that day, Ethan entered a bathroom and came out with a gun and started shooting his fellow students and teachers. He fired at least 30 rounds of bullets before being stopped by police. His mother has texted this after hearing of the shooting, “Ethan, don’t do it!”
As their son was arrested, the parents fled. They left town and hid from the police as run-away fugitives. Law authorities initiated a search for them. They were eventually apprehended and arrested hiding in a building 40 miles away from their home. But justice is not served yet. They not only influenced their son to gun violence; they also were involved in upholding Trump’s rampant white gun supremacy in America. The mother had written then president-elect Trump thanking him for his support in maintaining their right to bear arms and keep their weapons. The far-right in America as do all white supremacists are strongly opposed to any gun control measures. They uphold the right to bear arms and to form militias at will. They consider this a constitutional right and are ready to fight for their right to own and carry guns openly in defense of their ideologies.
Ethan’s parents, James, and Jennifer Crumbly have also been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter each for their negligence and participation in their son’s crimes. They are now at the same jail that their son is being held. Authorities have expressed that the parents are being charged in relation to the deaths due to their negligence and the providers of the gun to their son. Gun owners are being warned that with gun ownership comes great responsibility and all future crimes of gun violence will be dealt with in the same manner. Clearly, the country has grown tired of gun violence that seems endless and so prevalent in all cities across America. Something must be done, and this case sets a precedent that will follow many other crimes in the future.

America’s problems do not only involve the surmountable gun violence in all major cities. It encompasses many other dilemmas of social and civil disintegration. The youth seem to be the unfortunate victims of the civil disorder ruling American society and social norms. One of the catastrophic results of this can be seen in the many victims of failed control and surveillance surrounding social events such as public musical concerts. Many young people attend these concerts designed to exploit the youth enamored by social status and glamor of idols in the music industry. One such recent occasion resulted in many deaths and injuries.
On November 5, 2021, ten people died at a music concert in Houston, Texas Festival. Among the dead are a 9-year-old boy and a man desperately trying to save his fiancée during the chaos. The star was Rapper Travis Scott, who after acknowledging that the crowd was in trouble and that there were casualties, he continued his music concert for almost an hour without concern for the victims. It was not an unavoidable tragedy as the crowd pushed to the front of the stage and even trampled innocent people trying to get closer to the stage. It was a tragedy waiting to happen as lack of control and civility are classic tendencies at these events. The world looks in astonishment at such lack of concern for human life and a lack of control of human beings driven by idolatry-madden crowds. Musicians have become the idols of many young people in America who are willing to risk their lives as they attend musical events.
Even religious events are no longer sacred in America. On November 22, 2021, a maddened driver plowed through a seasonal Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing six people and injuring more than sixty others. The driver was later caught on the porch of a citizen who did not know what had just happened. The accused killer was pretending to be a homeless person waiting in the cold and rang the doorbell of the unsuspecting citizen who opened the door, welcomed him in and even fed him and gave him a winter jacket to keep warm. He later noticed police cars in front of his home and asked the unknown visitor to leave. The perpetrator of the crime was arrested there on the porch as the person who had committed the crime of driving into a crowd of people in a parade. The man who committed this crime is a Black man, a repeated felon by the name of Darrell Brooks. He was facing trial for a previous vehicular assault on his girlfriend and mother of his child. He had been released on a suspicious low bail and set free.
In America as in the Western world, the acceptance of transgender children is an accepted norm. In a society where normal child tendencies are translated into sexual preferences; a child’s life is left at the hands of incomprehensible societal standards. What use to be normal child play of dressing as mom or dad are now considered gender identity that perplex the life of children at home and in their schools. A child expressing tendencies of the opposite sex are labeled as transgender and referred to mental therapists. They are subjected to roles that they themselves do not comprehend. Many are told they were born in the wrong body. For example, a boy that has an affinity for pretty femininity is convinced he is a girl in a boy’s body and may even be forced to undergo a sexual change in his life, transforming him from a boy to a girl, physically. How did child’s play and imagination become so distorted and perverted in American and Western society? It is the consequence of a people without a God and/or Godly principles.
Many of these youth are offspring of parents who do not believe in God or have a perverted view of the Supreme Creator. They attribute the same human frailties to the Creator, at times a male image and at other times a female entity. The distortion has become so ingrained in the human psyche of a Godless society that all that is natural is questioned and spoiled. Many children are faced with the fear of being a misfit in life and an abhorrence of nature. It is no wonder that the sense of humanity has been lost to the young in America and Western societies. This affects normal children too. The children who have been brought up with normal teachings about life and fulfilling male/female roles are subjected to distorted academia in schools. They are subjected to the distorted views and education that permeates all facets of life. They are taught that they cannot always call a boy a “he” or a “him”. They are taught that not all girls are a “she” or a “her.” So prevalent is the new distorted direction of male and female roles in schools that many parents are considering pulling their children out of public schools. Many would prefer to continue educating their children at home to eliminate confusion and impairment of their children’s mental health.
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SUPPORTING TRANSGENDER YOUTH IN SCHOOL
The Department of Education has issued protocols for dealing with transgender students. It is important to protect the human rights of these children who perceive themselves in such unusual ways as they are human beings and the product of a society that has perpetrated such beliefs in them. However, it is quite another matter to instill these absurd realities upon the general population of students who do not relate to these distortions in sexuality. Children are not equipped to deal with such confusing matters that are often aggravated by personal opinions of biased teachers and educators, who themselves are prone to such adversities of self-identity. Nevertheless, this is becoming an accepted norm in America and across Western societies. There are many resources for youth caught in this dilemma and they are constantly bombarded by commercial advertisement that embed those beliefs in them and create a sense of pride. The following are a few examples of clothing advertised in American suppliers for transgender youth.
The other prevalent danger in Western society is the acceptance of abortion at will as a form of birth control. To many in America, abortion has become the unquestionable right of any woman. The fight has come to a forefront recently due to the Texas law forbidding abortions after a fetus heart can be detected. Many have resisted the law and the issue is now before the Supreme Court of the land. It appears that despite its prevalence, many Americans are against this practice. The states that support the life of an unborn fetus are fighting to overturn a law passed in the 70s called Roe vs. Wade that resulted in legalizing abortions at any stage that the fetus is not viable, meaning that it cannot survive on its own, outside the mother’s womb. All sanctity for human life has been erased in the past four decades that abortion has been legal in America. Many view abortion as not only a right but women boast of killing their unborn babies without conscience or remorse. The fight at the Supreme Court of the United States has revealed the harsh truth about the root cause of baby killing in abortions. The actions of the men and women who support it reveal a complete lack of sanctity for human life, especially that of an unborn fetus who is not considered to be human. In the demonstrations at the Supreme Court hearings, women were blatantly taking “abortion” pills to kill babies in their wombs, as a statement of their position. They are pictured here. Others are as equally boisterous, claiming they have a right to kill their unborn babies. They call it women’s health rights. Many are hoping that the Supreme Court will overturn the ruling that made abortions legal in the U.S. Even the witches came out of hiding!
So many are the societal and spiritual imbalances facing America and the Western developed nations that it is only a matter of time before their empires fall to their own demise. They have created generations of pathological misfits resembling those of fallen empires or worse. The degenerate and appalling norms of the so-called democratic western societies has revealed itself as the ignoble face of corruption and evil at all levels. No one is spared its poison! All are victims of its corrupt ideology based on faulty human reasoning, not on God’s eternal truths. From the oldest to the youngest, no one is spared the despair and certain damnation prophesied for the end times. All praise to Allah!
